I guess this makes it pretty expensive chutney, but we think it's worth it.
Looks good and can be eaten in 3 months - well, ours will wait till Christmas :-)
Hungerford allotment blog - grow your own, harvesting and vegetarian cooking. Enjoying allotment wildlife, weather and other things that catch my attention. Enjoying time on the Marsh Lane Allotment site in Hungerford, Berkshire. A record of successes, failures and a handy reminder for me. From 2017 each post title brings a song to add a little extra music to the world - enjoy!
You`ve been busy. Steve has made a lot too...sweetcorn and pepper relish, runner bean and courgette and pickled cucumbers. I`ve been making hedgehogs!! Torrential rain here.
ReplyDeleteYes, we're small scale busy though :-)
DeleteThe amount you and Steve do exhausts us! Oh no, rain followed by sunshine means more weeds - it's hard keeping on top of them this year!
That's one of todays jobs, along with chopping down our sad looking broad beans. I hope the sky stays as blue as it is at present!
Making hedgehogs, huh? I want real ones for slug-clearance :-)
